She died at age 104. She will be mourned by many. I read and loved most of her books. My favorite was Ellen Tebbits.

I loved her books as a child. I sent her a fan letter when I was probably 6 or 7 and she actually responded. I was so excited!

May she Rest In Peace.

She would have been 105 in about two weeks. I loved many of her books as a child, and I recall reading in her autobiography that she remembered hearing the town church bells ring for the ending of World War One. What a wonderful, long life.

Ellen Tebbits.

The baby boom kids grew up on her books, and then every generation since then. So much reading pleasure she gave, to so many children, over the past 70 years! And the funny thing was, my kids liked them, even though her oldest books were 50 yrs old by the time my kids read them.

A life well lived, for sure.

Do you remember the name of the book? I'd like to read it. She is from Oregon and I have seen her books for years but never read any growing up. Hopefully she had a happy life.
