Cleveland mom Kristel Candelario faces murder charges in the death of her 16-month-old daughter. The baby was allegedly left alone for 10 days while her mother, 31-year-old Candelario, went on vacation.

When I saw this popup on YT I thought are they charging her for leaving the baby with someone else? She just took off left the baby alone at home for 10 days. The odd thing is the grandparents who lived there were also on vacation took an older daughter with them.

What!? Did she think a toddler could take care of herself for 10 days? She deserves to be in jail and have a tattoo put on her forehead that says "I'm Stupid".

She's definitely not the brightest person in the world, but based on the fact she on other occasions had asked neighbors to watch the baby, it seems to me she certainly was aware of the fact the baby needs assistance and supervision to survive.

I suspect that this was a case of wanting to get rid of the child without having to do anything violent. Death by avoidance so to speak.

It's incredibly selfish and evil. Honestly, she doesn't deserve to be in jail, she deserves to get sent straight to hell with the help of an executioner.

I wonder if this child was from a man she was angry with because an older child was taken by the grandparents who lived in the same home.

Actually, it should say, "I caused the death of my 16-month old"

WTF is wrong with people. You wouldn't leave a 12-yr old alone for more than a few hours... but a 16-month old for 10 days????

Just when you think you have heard it all.
Did none of the neighbors here the child cry during those 10 days. They said the mother had left the child alone before. Was child services never contacted? They didnt notice no one was home and never heard cries from the child?

She's not going to do well in jail. Lots of mothers inside separated from their children won't be giving her much sympathy.

If the grandparents also lived there, why weren't they more involved in knowing who was taking care of the baby? Did they never ask? Didn't anyone think to call and check with "assumed" sitter to see how she was doing? If she was incompetent to parent her oldest daughter, why would anyone expect her to be responsible enough to care for a baby?

I noticed they had security cameras mounted on the house. I wonder if they had cameras inside also or if they show police when everyone left the house.

What a horrific story. I have no sympathy for anyone in that house except for the baby.

Court TV Segment on her PreTrial Hearing today. She was left in a Play Pen during this time.
