I bought this wonderful gas grill but found out it uses natural gas. I know we have natural gas line come into our house, but we don't have a line out to our patio. I was told that i need to hire a plummer to get this job done. he was saying hooking a extra line out of T pipe.....

anyway, anyone had done this for your grill in your house?

Thank you for your input.

It depends...

How close is an existing gas line to where you want the grill to be? If the line is just around a corner, or down a straight exterior wall, then it's no big deal and will just cost a few hundred $ for the plumber, plus the permit and inspection by Atmos. If the line will have to go through an attic, you're looking at a lot more $...

It's hard to answer your question without knowing were your gas meter is in relation to your patio. I could be cheap or very expensive depending how much work it is going to take to run that gas line. Checking into to changing it over to propane would certainly be much cheaper if it can be done. What kind of grill is it.
