I estimate that 1 out of 10 (10%) homes and business need a new roof.

The main cause of this is the sun, hail, heavy rains, and wind.

Numerous new studies are showing that not having a water tight roof can cause serious problems.

There are no symptoms until its too late.

This means that in Dallas, Tarrant and surrounding counties over 200,000 roofs are in need of replacement or repairs.

Surprised?

I'm not surprised, every time a piece of hail hits the ground the roofers start pounding the pavement and the insurance company gets 200,000 calls from homeowners about their windfall, I mean hail damage.

Let's see, the subcontractor who put the roof on our house secured the shingles with staples, so paint me unsurprised. Every time the wind kicks up we have to replace a dozen or more shingles at a cost of about $200 a pop.

This was a joke even though it may have some truth to it. Bad attempt at a joke I guess

Not a bad attempt, it's just that subtlety, and recognition there of, is not one of the strong points of many posters on this board...

What an odd set of threads:

Same length, but different words in some areas, and the same # of replies (not anymore) I thought it was a dupe post at first.
