Hello all, I have tickets to an upcoming concert at the Gexa Energy Pavilion. I've never been before so I'd like to get people's opinion on which seats to buy that would offer the best view of the stage:

1. Section 100, Row K, Seats 1 & 2 (is this an obstructed view?)

or

2. Section 203, Row EE, Seats 20 & 21

Thanks everyone!

100 is to the side of the stage while 203 is a center view. I can't remember where the covered portion of 203 ends and uncovered begins.

Thanks for the info. I've looked at that seating chart and it doesn't provide enough detail. Does anyone know who's actually been there whether Section 100, row K, seats 1 and 2 are obstructed views or are a bad angle to see the stage?

How many times are they going to change the name? I know people who still call it Starplex.

It really is getting ridiculous. I hope the venue is paying TxDOT to have the signs on I-30 replaced every time they decide to change the name of it again.

I was wondering where in the heck Gexa Energy Pavilion was. THEY CHANGED IT AGAIN!?!?!?!?!

Let's see:
Coco-Cola Starplex Amphitheatre, based off of the former location that was called StarFest up across from the old Olla Podrida at LBJ and Coit.
Then just Starplex Amphitheatre.
Then Smirnoff Music Center
Then Superpages.com Center.

Now ANOTHER NAME!?!?!?!

Personally, I'd take 203 and be more in a center line view. I've sat in every section in that place. I really like sitting in the front rows of sections 202 or 203. If it is the covered part you can at least be in the shade if during the day or there is rain and still get a breeze. Too far down there is NO BREEZE AT ALL! Section 100 isn't too bad and I sat further back than row K and it was not bad and the weather was nice.

I have the chance to buy tickets for my daughter to see Jimmy Buffett at Gexa, and the tickets are in the first couple of rows in sections 100 and 102 (not the center section). The tickets all indicate "obstructed view", even the ones that go back 5 or 6 rows. I assume it is related to speakers and other gear being in the way, but really have no idea if there is something structural with the way the place was built. The tickets have the same notation regardless of which section (100 and 102).

Have you sat in those sections before and understand why it would indicate an obstructed view?
thx
