Hi,

We are relocating to Dallas from Houston on job next month and have 3 dogs (2 toy breed and 1 medium size-all friendly). We are looking for rental housing options that allow all our pets in areas Plano, Richardson, Irving etc (anywhere schools r good n crime rate no/low). Could anyone suggest suitable options to go for. All my search yielded nothing allowing 3 dogs. Btw we are an Indian family with one 3 yr old kid. Btw my commute to work will be to downtown Dallas.

Thanks

Half the landlords want no pets. The other half will usually limit to 1 small animal.

Finding a home for 3 pets in a good school district will be extremely hard. Those landlords can afford to be extremely selective and limit what they will accept.

With 3 pets you may need to accept a home in a less than desirable location.

What is your budget for the rental?

I would suggest looking in Irving.

Would Wylie work? I'm asking because there might be a rental coming up. But I'm not sure.

Eliminate the possibility of a townhome with three dogs. Most townhome owners don't allow any dogs at all.

While it is difficult, a lot of times money talks. Offering an extra non-refundable pet deposit works sometimes :-)

But with town homes, a lot of times HOAs regulate pets to two.

Best of luck!

With due respect, wud welcome any constructive suggestions rather than smart a$$ comments since I'll be new to the town and figuring out best options remotely relying on ur expert suggestions.
