Hello to all,

I was on the phone one day speaking with a client of mines and she mentioned something about several years ago taking her kids to a animal safari in Plano. I wanted to know or ask anyone is it still around? If, so, ok thanks but if not is there another one nearby?

The only "safari" I can think of in Plano is this one:
Welcome to Indoor Safari Park

Probably not what you meant though...lol!

.
I agree w/PlanoGirl, never heard of one other than the indoor one in Plano.

The
Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, TX is the closest, about 75 miles SW of Dallas, see directions. Here's an additional writeup link describing it.

Really nice top of the hill country views, especially in the fall!

I think she must be talking about Barnyard Buddies zoo. They closed their doors to public few years ago. My kids had their birthdays there.

Heritage Farmstead in Plano has a petting zoo and its a nice place to visit.

Heritage Farmstead has animals, but they warn against petting and touching the animals.
