Thank you for those links WorldKlas. That place in Grapevine looks nice. I'm going to find out what their 2 bedroom goes for.

Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on Bedford? I think I might have found a good deal there to inquire about.

Be careful in Bedford. A lot of their complexes are quite old and will have $$$ utility bills. With any apartment complex, ask if they "accept Section 8," and if they say yes, walk away.

So long as you don't have ridiculous expectations for what you're going to get for $800 a month, there are TONS of rentals in HEB and mid cities available for that. I've even seen single story homes in the North Richland Hills area for that. You're not going to have swanky marble kitchen countertops and updated bathrooms with that price point, but there are plenty of places available in safe and decent areas if you don't mind something a little older looking.

One of the harder parts from your criteria is going to be finding an apartment complex without upstairs or downstairs neighbors seeing as most are at least two story buildings. I did have a friend that lived in this complex though, and it's 3 stories all to yourself. First story is your front door and one car garage, second story is living room and kitchen, third story is bedroom and bathroom.
