Help me out...

Been going nuts trying to find a jazz station to listen to here in DFW. Something to relax to on the way home from work...

I don't think there is one.

I may have answered my own question...

KNTU 88.1 FM might be it.

I will have to see if my car radio can pick this up.

KNTU is one of the best jazz stations in the country, but since they are in Denton they are a little tough to get clearly in the southern portions of D/FW. You can also stream them at kntu dot com.

There's not one. We used to have The Oasis which DH and I loved. But it's now only and HD2 radio station. That was a nice bonus to find out his new truck actually came equipped with HD radio and now he's one happy camper.

I haven't checked lately but 103.7 used to do a jazz show on Sunday mornings.

Hmmm. I will see tonight if I can get 88.1

I hope I can. Maybe I'll buy a huge antenna for my car.

Thanks for the Sunday morning info. I will check that out.

You can still get the Oasis if you have a home HD Tuner, but you'll need to be within distance of the station, as they are based in Ft. Worth. My mother was able to pick it up in Plano, but it McKinney, it's hit or miss.

That was smooth jazz for those channels (which we all do still miss). The type of jazz the OP was referring to was more of a big band, swing variety.

For big band swing, latin, and ballads, it's KNTU if you prefer listening in your car.

Otherwise, you'd have to get Sirius XM for a wide variety of jazz formats, including smooth jazz (no longer offered locally in Dallas or Houston). Sorry, my friend, but it's the hard truth.

Or you can get Tunein radio app on Iphone or Android, use bluetooth or accessory jack, and listen to any kind of music you want to.
