I've been reading some individual reviews online about how terrible the car rentals are at Dallas Love Field. Can anyone suggest which car rental is BETTER? Do any of them have a kiosk option rather than having to wait in line at a desk to pick up your car?

My rental car experience in Lovefield with $ was very bad. I choose DFW ever since even though it takes 10-15 minutes for the shuttle.

I had a good experience renting a small SUV through Budget at Love Field. Great price, nice vehicle and easy pick up and return. Don't remember a kiosk, but the line wasn't very long.

Did Budget charge you for the Toll Tag? My plan is to avoid toll roads so I don't have to pay for it but some of the reviews I read said that some of the companies tried to rip you off with daily fees for the Toll Tag.

no, they didn't charge me for a toll tag because I knew I wouldn't be using toll roads. They clearly state what they charge and when. Just don't use a toll road and you'll be fine. But note that there is a daily rate if you use a toll road - even just once.
