I am new from europe in Dallas. Are there streets with shops and restaurant with plenty of people waling outside when the weather is nice? If you want to see people ouside in NYC for example you go on the 5th avenue, how about in dallas? I end up in malls but I want something in the outside

Close to Plano:
1. historic downtown McKinney (around the square)

In Dallas proper:
1. Lower/ Lowest Greenville Avenue
2. Knox Street area
3. Bishops Arts District
4. lots of streets in Uptown. McKinney Avenue is the "main drag" but you'll see people out walking around anywhere from the Arts District, across Klyde Warren Park, and north up to Knox Street.
5. Highland Park Village is a ridiculously expensive shopping center but it's gorgeous (historic 1930's Mediterranean architecture) and for the price of a Starbucks coffee or an overpriced but good burger from KT Burger, you can sit outside and do some fantastic people watching!

On the 5 days of the year that it is nice to be walking outside (joking), both 15th street and the Legacy area are great for patios and walking among shops-

Historic Downtown Plano | Authentic, Historic, Unique

Directory |*The Shops at Legacy

If you drive South into Dallas, both Knox St where it intersects Katy trail: Knox District

and Deep Ellum during one of their wine walks- 3rd Thursday of each month Deep Ellum, Texas

The mimosa walk for valentines weekend in Deep Ellum was packed with friendly people walking from shop to shop.
