How could I assist my apartment with solar and not get in trouble or spend so much? I noticed the batteries are heavy and almost 600 bucks for the 8d ones. The panels vary.

I can tell you from a pricing standpoint that Solar City cannot compete with Reliant. You may just want to look at Reliant if your goal is to save money. We tried to get Solar City to come into our home but Solar City flat out told us they cannot compete with the rarte we were getting from Reliant to make it worth it for us.

I'm not sure how you could attach any sort of solar supply into an electrical system of a building you do not own.

I think this is tough.
If it makes economic sense for them they would probably do it.
Might make sense for them to buy clean and green from electric company than to install panels themselves.
Do you pay them for electric or have a choice?

Maybe if you are really passionate about it you can buy your own small devices.
You can buy small chargers for your phone....maybe a small panel for the balcony to power some lights or chargers for your electronics.
