What is the premiere or most popular Mall in the Metroplex for the people who actually live here, not the tourist.

The premiere mall, by any reasonable definition of that word, is NorthPark. There isn't even a question. In terms of traffic you might have more at somewhere like Grapevine Mills or Parks Mall Arlington (or fill in the blank crappy suburban mall) because there are more people who can afford to shop at places like those.

All of the malls are popular for their immediate reigon. The Parks is way in Arlington and serves the Arlington area. Northpark is the most popular but it takes nothing from any other malls popularity.

I feel that as far as interior design and a selection of luxury stores there is not any mall that compares to Northpark is the Metroplex. However the Parks mall has the best selection of stores, entertainment(movies, ice rink and Dave & Buster style family center) also with places to eat like Cheesecake Factory. No other mall has more for everyone.

Apparently you've never been up to Stonebriar. It's newer and "prettier" than Parks in Arlington.

Imho it doesn't matter because no matter how awesome a mall is, most of us wouldn't drive an hour to Arlington to admire its coolness, vice versa.

Most malls are planning to rebrand as multipurpose destinations with offices, living, shopping, eating, entertaining, to overcome losses caused by internet shopping.

Northpark is the best mall, no question. We're headed to the train exhibit now.

This. Stonebriar is a step up from the Parks (Nordstrom, nicer JCPenney) and all the same "entertainment" like movie theatre, ice rink, Dave & Busters, etc. Also a lot less crime.

Northpark Mall is the premier Mall in Dallas. Hard to deny that based on tenants and probably sales figures. I think second place has a lot contenders and could be a lot malls in the area. The Galleria, Stonebriar, and others are pretty good but not in the same league as Northpark Mall.

The ice rink was closed and renovated into shops at Stonebriar. The other spots are still there though, as is the carousel.
