Hello All,

What are your thoughts on this area? Seems somewhat far from the main highways, but close enough to the lake as I enjoy running/biking there.

I noticed on the crime map that the area bordering/east of Gus Thomasson area is blue with more tendencies for crime there, but I figured that is due to the businesses around there.

Anybody have experience with this area? Safe to walk the dog at 9pm?

Thank you for your thoughts!

I don't live far from that neighborhood, and I guess it just depends on what you're looking for. Home prices are very affordable, and there are many true mid-century modern homes near Harry Stone Park that are being bought up and beautifully renovated. There's a major renovation underway of the Casa View shopping center that will be a big plus for the community:

The schools aren't great, but improving: https://lakewood.advocatemag.com/201...-tea-rankings/

Bishop Lynch High School is over there and is very well regarded. The area is pretty blue collar and still very affordable. From what I've seen, it seems like a lot of working families and retirees. I've never felt unsafe in the area, but I'd still suggest driving around at different times of day to see what you think.

Thank you for your reply! I saw the article about the renovations... How exciting! I've driven by the area around Harry Stone Park several times. It seems like a fun spot.
