Hey everyone, I am new to the forum.

Just a quick question, I am starting a new job and I am going to live in uptown in Dallas but the new job is in Arlington. What kind of drive time can I expect going from Arlington back to Dallas after work?

Thanks!

Will you be coming home on I-30 or I-20.

Depending on where you are coming from in Arlington you are looking at about 30 minutes except on bad days (crashes, stalled cars, etc.). Also the merge onto Woodall is usually a disaster no matter what time of day even on the weekends so check out some alternate routes when you approach. Sometimes it is quicker to take the Commerce exit once you come across the I30 bridge and cut through downtown to uptown.

Also, on the days when 30 is backed up coming into downtown there are some routes such as Hampton and Sylvan that sometimes move faster than 30 on the bad days.

You Are going the opposite way of everyone else. You will rarely experience traffic. I'd say 30 minutes give or take 5 minutes.
