H-E-B is starting construction on a 2nd Frisco location, next month. Hopefully, we get word on a Dallas location. I am tired of Kroger and Walmart self-checkout lanes. Tom Thumb is good, but their prices are higher than H-E-B.

The retailer is breaking ground in June to serve eastern Denton County
H-E-B is excited to announce it will soon begin construction on its second store in Frisco, continuing its expansion in the DFW Metroplex. The store, which will be located at HWY 380 and FM 423, will serve residents in eastern Denton County.

A tentative opening date is set for late 2024. More details will be shared at the groundbreaking in June.

In the DFW area, H-E-B opened stores in Frisco and Plano late last year. Other H-E-B stores the retailer has officially announced for the Metroplex are in Allen, Alliance, Mansfield, and McKinney.

“This new store builds on the company’s longstanding presence in the area and reinforces its commitment to serve more customers in this dynamic and growing part of Texas,” said Mabrie Jackson, senior director of public affairs for H-E-B.

Proudly serving communities across the state since 1905, H-E-B is committed to the DFW area for the long term and hopes to serve even more of the Metroplex in the future.

Costco is building on the NW corner of 380/FM 1385. That small stretch is going to be a nightmare.

I just wish they would build on the land they have bought in Forney and Rockwall. We are begging for more grocery stores out here...

I'll bet. It's going to get even worse when Kroger buys out Albertson's (Tom Thumb). That merger is going to wreak havoc all across the metro area.

There are lawsuits challenging the merger. Let's hope the deal dies.

Well this is bad news, I hate Kroger. They never have a good meat selection and plenty of their stores are nasty dirty.

That would be nice, but money, power, greed, and corruption always wins at the end of the day.

Agreed 100 percent. On top of that, the store near me wreaks of either vinegar or grease depending on when you go. I won't get into their corporate practices. I really hate to see Market Street go and shudder to think what is going to replace them.

What Krogers are you going to? Everyone I've been to has been clean and nice, and has a wonderful selection of everything.
