Yes, HEB stores carry a lot of their own store brands because their brands are that good. Their canned charro/borracho beans are just as good as you'll find in any Mexican restaurant, and their Cafe Ole' coffees are also excellent. Their prepared foods are also very good. The tamales they sell at Christmas are excellent!

It depends on what you buy. Some things, like produce, can be cheaper or the same as other stores. They only sell a few that I ever get. Their organic Russet potatoes were cheaper than those at Walmart, and their 365 brand powdered laundry detergent is a bargain you won't find elsewhere! It comes in a nice sturdy box, too.

We could get a new option on the horizon once the Kroger merger goes through:

Would be great if they could spread these out. Denton County would be great.

H-E-B is building a new store near the Eastern border of Denton County. It's at 380 and FM 423.

H-E-B said expansion will be centered around the first stores, due to logistics and distribution. Eventually, you will have a store closer to Denton City.

You will get a new one, before Dallas does. H-E-B already has a handful of stores on the north side. There is plenty of undeveloped commercial land.
