Well, things have taken a turn and it turns out we are now moving to San Francisco. Not only that, but we're going to be going right away! We have friends and family there, so when given the option today we really didn't hesitate. I learned a lot about Dallas (!) which I guess I don't need now, but I hope that others who are in similar situation that I *thought* I was in can learn from all the threads.

Thanks to all of you for being so candid and providing such great information. I do know SF well, so I don't have to start from scratch on where to live there--I know exactly where I'm going

Thanks again and good luck to all those heading to DFW and wishing everyone well!

Good luck to you! You'll really like San Francisco! When we lived out in LA, we went with some other couples up there for a little short trip and it was really nice. I was impressed with all of nice scenery.
