All I'm saying is that you're talking about a few days of abnormally cold weather. The rest of the winter was pretty typical. If this summer had a few days around 110 and the rest were about 90 degrees, I would not be complaining about what a hot summer it was.

Well it looks like the 100 degree temps are coming back early next week. For those of you who were angry about us shying one day short of the overall 100 degree days, looks like we are on track to break it. I dont care too much about temperatures anymore... I am just ready for RAIN

And all I'm saying is that I don't care for cold weather at all, and much prefer 100+ degree temperatures to anything in the 50s or lower for the highs of the day. That said, I can tolerate a typical Dallas area winter with the exception of those typical cold days we get from time-to-time. However, I did NOT like the period (however short) last winter when we had near single-digit temperatures, wind chills below zero, snow, and frozen water pipes, which set some records. The previous winter of 2010 also had some periods of very cold days, which is not typical of our normal winters. Bottom line is simply this - I much prefer warm weather to cool weather...and prefer hot weather to cold weather. Give me 120 degrees anytime over 12 degrees. If I could choose my daily temperature range it would probably be 68 degrees for the nighttime low and 92 degrees for the daytime high with sunny blue skies.

Amen! The wildfire devastation because of no rain, the low lake levels, the horribly high temperatures and, would you even believe, the lack of humidity, have made Texas a pretty horrible sight this year. They're saying there's no wet relief for several months. I hope they're wrong. It's just too sad.

It's so Hot, even the snakes are hiding...seriously, we haven't seen a snake all summer and we usually average one rattle snake a season.

I saw two in the early spring (not rattlesnakes though), but I believe you're right. I'll bet they'll be out when the weather finally stays cooler. I'm not looking forward to that either.

Did we 'officially' hit 100 degrees today? Gosh, I hope so!

How many more days do we need to break the old record of most non-consecutive 100 or higher degree days?
