I'm a late 20's fashionista visiting Dallas for Labor Day weekend and am curious as to which specific upscale night spots are "in" right now. The last time I visited Dallas I partied at the now defunct Obar and Social House in West Village, as well as the W Hotel and had a blast.

What are the best places in downtown/Uptown to see and be seen? Thanks!

The bars at the Zaza and Ritz Carlton hotels in Uptown.

Lotus on McKinney Ave @ Allen.

Teddy's Room is hit or miss, but probably worth trying.

For "see & be seen" restaurants with nighlife, it's the new Marquee Grill in Highland Park Village. Packed every night with the best-dressed crowd in town.

Sfuzzi and Manhattan should be added to TC's list. ZaZa is probably the most uppity but in a slightly tacky way. lol

ZaZa and the Ritz. Avoid Sfuzzi. And Marquee in HPV is the spot, but almost entirely Park cities folks.

I went to ZaZa in November 2007, and the pool patio was filled with half naked people in bathing suits just STANDING and posing. No one was talking and no one was dancing. It was so BIZARRE. I was out there for 5 minutes then had to leave because it made me uncomfortable. Hopefully, it's changed since then.

I have a buddy that loves to go over to ZaZa (he's from a small west Texas town) and I have seen some crazy stuff out there. I remember everyone going crazy over a woman in her 50's wearing a t-shirt dress.. ed hardy type of design on the dress. There are lots of pros out there too.

Since I like girls I'll be sure to check out the Applebees in Knox/Henderson.

And does the crowd at Marquee tend to be older? I remember going to Abacus and it was a mostly 40's and older crowd. If possible I'd like to go to bars where most people are 20's to early 30's.

On a side note I remember going into a really nice bar/restaurant across the street from Stanley Korshak and diagonal from the Federal Reserve which I found quite charming. Does anyone know the name of it?
