After about 10 minutes sitting in my car waiting to enter the drive-thru line, an employee walked by telling us that the wait for the drive-thru window was approximately three hours!

Unfortunately, I didn't have all afternoon to spend waiting in line. I guess I'll try again this weekend.
Wow. I may be waiting two months! I am amazed that so many are willing to wait for 2-3 hours.

It's looking really nasty here in 75206 (75/Mockingbird). Not raining hard yet but it should be any second now.

I have only been to In-N-Out about 7-8 times before and really liked it. I always try and eat there when I am on vacation.

It had been a few years since I tasted In-N-Out and as I was eating my Double Double I noticed....that something was off.

The meat patties were razor thin and overcooked, IMO. Thinner than a McDonald's hamburger - about the thickness of a White Castle meat patty. I kept thinking to myself, "Was there always such little meat on an In-N-Out burger?"

I had another regular hamburger with the same small patty. I couldn't even taste any meat - it was like a veggie burger with Thousand Island dressing.

This was not the same burger that I remembered. Not only were the burgers not outstanding, they weren't even good.

I'll give them another chance when they open up the Dallas store, but this was a head scratch-er for me. I think a lot of people who will be trying them for the first time will be very disappointed.
Its disturbing to hear your review and reminds me of the last time I had In n Out. It was in Los Angeles back in March. I noticed the same thing about the paper thin meat patty and found it to be very odd.

I could be wrong, but if I think way back to the 80s or 90s, the In n Out meat patty was a quarter pound. So a regular burger would be a quarter pound and a Double-Double would be a half pound.

Like I said, I could be wrong but if Im right then its very disturbing to think they have changed this one very important specification in their formula.

NIta

Wait a minute. I've never had one, but your statement is confusing. You're a fan of the In & Out burger, but say it is OVER-RATED compared to a $5.00 or $6.00 Burger? Geez, just about ANY burger costs around that much. So essentially, you're saying it IS over-rated? I'm puzzled. So a $6 in&out burger is as good as a $2 burger? I wouldn't call that very much of an endorsement.

Signed,
Confused as hell
