Haven't checked my mailbox for a while. So this morning I checked to see if there's any bills.

My Mario Badesco samples arrived! I was wondering if I was ever going to get these! I love the brand's vitamin c serum but never got around to try the other products. I got everything from face mask, to hyaluronic eye cream. They're pretty generous with the samples too as I got seven different products. I had to pay around 4 dollars for something that come in the same size bottle with poorer made packaging from a different skincare but same tier company. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.

I also got a Caswell-Massey Almond & Aloe Hand & Body Emulsion and a Quaker wheat square samples with brown sugar.

Need to go back to signing up for spiffy cool free stuff. Woo whoo.

But my 7-year old plain-vanilla Gateway has Windows XP, which I love, love, love. And my new Gateway FX-6860-UR10 has Windows 7, which I hate, hate, hate.

it's not that I dont like change...it's that I dont like change for no reason other than the sake of change.

I loved Windows 98, which was on the Gateway computer I had before before the one I bought 7 years ago. And I liked Windows XP right away. But I can tell I will never like Windows 7. I had to google "Where is ____ on Windows 7" so many times over the past couple of days -- and it's obvious that many, many other users had the same questions. Even something as simple as the Email Address Book is hidden away where you'd never come across it unless you googled that question. And the format, OMG.

Life is too short to be so frustrated. I thought about returning the computer to Amazon but it really is an awesome machine -- so I gave it to my handyman (who's become more of a friend than a handyman over the years). He's very good with computers and commented that he needs exposure to Windows 7 to be able to start advertising his computer services.

So I'm back on my 7-year old dinosaur (I guess we're both dinosaurs). I hope I can add more memory to it and keep Windows XP forever.
Lord have mercy it pays to be your handyman! And it pays to be at your curb when your 1-month-old magaziners is in the recycle bin! What a good heart you have, tfw! I know what you mean by change.......I've had this one for a year and am still not 'comfy'.

Actually haven't had one in awhile. Been making margaritas. This guy keeps giving us Tequila. I have developed a real fondness for the Daily's mix. Cheaper than the others and a tad sweeter.
Fresh key lime juice makes the best.
