Nothing to report as fact, but I am hoping for a PNC Bank in that spot. I have a neighbor who works at PNC and I have asked her about a branch closer to our area (as opposed to the 3 branches in Dover itself) and she vaguely told me that PNC IS interested in the Camden area and will be putting a branch in "by next year". Wishful thinking on my part......but, no, no idea if even any projects are planned for that spot. Perhaps rdlr knows more - it IS her backyard!

I heard a rumor about a Panera going in somewhere over there....I wish I could confirm that! I've heard second hand that someone else was able to confirm, but I haven't myself.

Oh, that would be great! I heard the same rumor, but don't know if it's really going to happen. Thanks.

There's a Jersey Mike's in Midway. My bosses rave about it like they never had a overstuffed sandwich before.
I think most restaurants are over-hyped.

Yeah, I saw the mattress store sign going up the other day. Just what the world needs - another mattress store! On a serious note and to elaborate on my earlier posting from above in 2013 about hoping for a PNC branch in Camden.....I was in the PNC on 13 in Dover by the old K-mart last week and there was a sign stating in January 2015 that that PNC branch was closing. Not moving, closing! Dover, a STATE capital, will now have only 2 branches of this very large bank. Camden is indeed growing and would be a great location for a branch. I have written to PNC in the past but never heard back. When I talk to bank personnel, they just shrug their shoulders. Anybody know more about this????
