If you like barbecue, try Where Pigs Fly.

I'll second this. It's a little hole-in-the-wall-y, but the food is excellent. Even my extremely picky kids love it.

I'm going to throw some water on Where Pigs Fly and complain that it is way too twee for a bbq joint with its all its gingham and that it is pretty much Carolina style bbq so if you're not keen on that style you may as well forget it. It's like a bbq place dreamt up by the Junior League.

Agreed. Another yes vote for "Where Pigs Fly". My wife and I enjoy the place very much. Also check out the Countrie Eatery on State Street and Kirby and Holloway on Route 13.

If you're traveling without kids, check out Restaurant 55 in Magnolia for really good burgers.

I have to disagree that it's Carolina bbq. Carolina is vinegar based, thin sauce. Or mustard based sauce, depending on the region. WPF sauce is tomato/brown sugar based.

Also disagree that it resembles anything Jr. League. I don't think a Jr Leaguer wouuld step foot in the place.

DrJ. wouldn't like it unless it had white linen and three stars. It's simple, inexpensive, good service, tastes good and fun.

Do you understand what "twee" means? If not, look it up. The place is the very essence of twee. It's just ever so precious. Prissiest bbq place I've ever seen.

I understand. I just disagree. People can disagree with you without being ignorant, mentally retarded, or stupid.
