I am only receiving local stations and can't receive incoming calls. CS lines are a 35 minute hold and not a peep from Comcast.

nuts2uiam,

The problem may be very local. I am only a few miles from you and my Comcast TV stations are coming in just fine. I have a Verizon landline - so I can't help you with any telephone issues.

Thanks Mary but it is a nationwide problem and Comcast has finally announced they have a problem just under two hours after it began.

nuts,

That is very strange... you would think that the issue with the TV stations would impact me as well. Perhaps it depends upon which TV package you have. I am getting non local stations, but, I have a digital economy package with only about 45 stations total since I don't watch much TV.

One reason I have a Verizon landline is because I what to know I have a working telephone line even if the power goes off.

I came back up on the TV but still no incoming calls. Here is an article on it. I am all Comcast (no choice) maybe that is the reason.

Sounds like "all Comcast" might really be the problem. No issues here in the Dover-Camden-Wyoming area. We're perking right along.

Just one more reason, we never bought in to "all comcast". I'll go out on a limb and say, EVERYBODY I talk to has trouble with that Comcast Bundle. We have Comcast Internet/T.V. and Verizon phone lines.

I wish we had Verizon fios here but we don't and the phone line charge only here is just outrageous.

Like nuts2uiam, only choice we have in our area of Lewes for internet provider is Comcast, so we use them for internet & tv bundle.

Don't want to jinx anything, but we've had no problems whatsoever. Got the Blast105 mbps internet service, and I get about 90-95 mbps with my hardwired connection. Plus, my streaming connection ranges from 30-45 mbps on all three floors, even with an old router (suspect I could do better with a new one, but really don't need higher speeds). We used Comcast for internet in Chicago before moving here, and frankly we've had much better luck here (no outages in 8 months vs. about 1 per month in Chicago).

As for phone service, haven't bothered with a landline since 2006 since we all have cell phones. By the way, switched from Sprint to Cricket Wireless in December and have been thrilled. Better reception (they use AT&T network) and my bill for 5 smartphones went from $220 to $100 per month.

They just announced they added 89,000 new accounts so I don't expect it to change anytime soon. I have to agree with Enjoyeveryday, that the service is generally uninterrupted as compared to my Cablevision on Long Island. That said, I have had nothing but problems for the most part. Our community was part of one huge node that apparently was too large to handle the demand, or so I have ben told. We were cut over a month ago and I still had problems but last week it was straightened out and thus far I have been pleased.
Generally speaking, I think their customer service is pretty poor. I now go directly to the executive office when I have a problem as the locals are not kept up with upgrades to the area. My next door neighbor had been told by a tech it was her computer that was causing her internet problems, when I had been told it would be rectified once we were cut over to the new node.
If anyone wants the executive office # DM me.
