Great news. The area by the new library will be a great trailhead, and love that they are using the same format (paved) for the trail that the terrific Junction Breakwater Trail has. Can't wait for this to be completed; the area will have a fantastic system of trails reaching from the Beaches to Georgetown!

Does anyone know when this will be completed?

My future husband and I are considering relocating to the area. We are in our late 20's and our number one "amenity" we are looking for in an area is being bike-able. We don't really like city life (feels too crowded/urban for us) but we also hate driving and having to use a car - so it seems like the Lewes/Rehoboth area might be the ticket.

I've noticed that you can get a lot more bang for your buck on the west side of Route 1. Since they're going to be building this new trail, we're thinking it might be worth investing on the west side since it will eventually be more desirable once connected to existing trails - thoughts? Also, I've been reading that there is somewhat of a make-shift trail crossing over route 1 under the Nassau bridge. Is this true? Is it easy to use while we wait for this trail construction to be complete? Also, is this section under the Nassau bridge part of phase 1?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Use the local trails for biking, and this is another great addition!

Looking forward to the day we can add the ride to Georgetown.
