We're going to have a very small private burial in a couple of weeks at Barratts Chapel and I would like to have a picnic afterwards. I'm looking for a park nearby heading North, or west. Really just looking for clean, shady and a picnic table. Any suggestions near Frederica, Dover or that area?

Wyoming Park in Wyoming. Big new pavilion, nice shade, new restroom building and a nice breeze off the lake. About 2 miles off of Route 13. Take Old North Rd. and keep driving till you cross the railroad tracks. Turn left and then right near Hall’s Restaurant go straight 2 short blocks and you are at the park. Also nearby is Brecknock Park, right on Route 13, shaded pavilions but no lake.

Wyoming, DE park: Call ahead to reserve the pavilion, reservation required. No reservation required for use of the grounds. No alcoholic beverages allowed.

Don't know the date TooBusy is planning on, but the first Saturday in August is our Peach Festival, a very busy day in Town.

Thank you, all. We went last week and ended up going to Killens pond after all. I kept thinking about how we had gone there so often when we were kids and wanted to go back one last time. It was hot as all get out, but not crowded at all in the picnic area.
