I got a medicated filling on a top molar few weeks ago. I go back in a few months for a crown prep and new crown. I noticed there's a very small black area or hole on the tooth near the gum line on the back surface of the tooth. Is there certain situations where decay is left over? I saw the dental assistant and she said everything was ok. Can decay be removed near the gum line? Should I make another appt to get it looked at again or wait until my appt for crown to address it? Thanks! I appreciate any advice
