After taking out my upper denture it takes me a 1/2 to one hour to clean out my mouth. I wonder if there is a better way? I use a paper towel to clean my gums.
i have had a full set for just over a year now and I have noticed when i have a lot to clean out it's usually because I used too much adhesive or am taking them out early. I use a little kids tooth brush to brush my gums and mouth gently and use warm water. That seems to help. I have heard that seven up or something carbonated will also help
I have put way more adhesive on my denture because I know someone that wears dentures they said to me you cann't follow the instructions on the tube because that doesn't work. You need more paste on sides and front to make them hold better. I will try the instructions for Poligrip and Fixodent to see how it works.
I like Fixodent Plus. A little bit holds my top ones up good all day. The bottom ones, depending on what I'm eating, will sometimes need a second application. On my days off I don't worry about keeping them in tightly, will sometimes go "naked" without adhesive just for a break. When I'm working though gotta keep those babies secure
I don't have dentures however if I have something a bad taste, or bad food, even stuck in my teeth hot coffee seems to do a pretty good job freeing things up.
Coffee will also loosen them you are right or any warm drink.
John I think if you use the product as directed you are okay with the zinc. I worried about that at first but the product works so good with so much less than the poligrip I used . The research I did all said when used at proper dose it was safe.
