Can you recommend some good toothpastes w/o Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)?

Thanks...

Shaggy..

Make your own - I use coconut oil mixed with baking soda and a bit of sea salt. One of my hygienists told me once that it doesn't matter what kind of toothpaste you use, it is mainly the "mechanical action" of brushing your teeth that does the job.

Closys is a fantastic toothpaste that has no SLS in it but that does include fluoride.

Then it has the best of both worlds.

I think Toms has a SLS free TP, but make your own. Safest and best price and you might be very happy with your ongoing teeth and gum health. You can buy CO toothpaste, but it's pricey. Amazon has some brands and I've seen another brand online. But making my own is the way to go.

I was going to recommend this since I started using it for my sensitive teeth.

https://www.amazon.com/Kiss-My-Face-...ive+toothpaste

But it seems like it's discontinued? Not sure if that's a good sign...

I bought it from Amazon like last month or so, but it was super late so they refunded me the cost. I hope I didn't buy the last of it because the mainstream equivalent (Sensodyne and alike) gave me a canker sore on my gums. I guess I could combine the Kiss My Face fluoride-free sensitive toothpaste with another of theirs that has fluoride.

Now Foods has a new Coconut Oil toothpaste and I've been buying it and mixing it with my home brew of CO toothpaste. Adds a nice flavor and I'm sold on it...no SLS.

It's a skin irritant, and in some people it can cause aphthous ulcers of the oral mucosa. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9656847
