But I wanted to ask, if anyone has had the Invisalign braces, what was the total cost for both the Invisalign braces themselves and all the office visits during the treatment. I'm just looking to get a fairly good idea of the expense.
I just noticed that there is another thread about Invisalign, so this thread might get moved onto that. Still, it is good news that Invisalign now works with rotated teeth assuming the article is correct. I don't know why it wouldn't be.
Invisalign is a poor choice for twisted or uneven teeth. They say it takes 13 to 15 months. I was told this and I am now on month 27 and still there are some that are not straight or even. This may be true if you have had braces before but not if they are misaligned. Dentist love invisalign because they make a lot of money off them and they require little effort on their part. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Mind cost $5000, don't have the control of metal braces and have taken longer also the clips that are glued in must be ground off. If not done correctly they will take the enamel off. I had this done on two teeth.
I think for rotated teeth you should stick to classic wire braces but even in those there is a chance that the teeth might go back to their original position if you don't wear retainers!
