Yes I am one of those people that treats his dog as his kid. I am looking for a reputable veterinarian for my 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. I am in Westminster but would be willing to travel for the right doctor. Thanks.

We have a pointer as well, a Vizsla.

Good but can be expensive (in Louisville): Centennial Valley Animal Hospital - Veterinary services for the Denver Boulder area, located in Louisville Colorado

Also really like Dr. Dodge in Lafayette at Jasper Animal Hospital | HOME

I like Dr. Sanderlin. He is a holistic mobile vet.

"His special interests are preventing illness and disease by educating guardians, or pet owners, about natural, wholesome diets, herbs, and supplements. Also, Dr. Sanderlin recommends only core vaccine protocols and offers vaccine blood titers for both cats and dogs to avoid over-vaccination."

Dr. Wingert or Dr. Davies at Broadview Animal clinic. Thats who a lot of people who show their dogs use and I just had my Newfoundlands stomach tacked 7 days ago there

If you don't mind driving downtown, Tender Touch Animal Hospital on Kalamath is an incredible vet. They took great care of my bulldog and they all really love animals.

Ill second the Tender Touch Animal Hospital recommendation. They are very personable, honest, and reliable; from check ups to emergencies I've never felt anything but comfortable taking my 3 dogs there, and foster dogs too.

I took my cats Boots & Magic to Dr. Lori Wise at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. Besides being a very skilled internist, she has the best bedside manner of an dr. you'll ever meet. She's very compassionate, never talks down to you, never makes you feel rushed. Both my cats lived to a ripe old age under her care.

I also loved the fact that WRAH is a 24 hour emergency hospital. Whenever Boots or Magic had a medical emergency I felt good knowing the hospital already had all their med. records on file. And anytime I had to leave one of them overnight it was a great comfort knowing there was a vet & vet techs on duty 24/7.

Yes, the place is a little pricy. But to me it was money well spent.

We have cats, but I know Dr. Bender at Louisville Veterinary Clinic has a large dog clientele as well.

I take my dog to Community Pet Hospital in Thornton. I actually still drive my dog there even though I live downtown now. I've always had good experiences there and they are a 24 hour clinic, so I like knowing if an emergency pops up I have somewhere I trust to take him.
