I have read in various articles about problems with rabbits, cats, or whatever, "feeding" on the wires in the cars parked at the airport. I'm thinking of traveling into Denver from out of state and catching a cheap flight out. I will be parked in the west lot for a few days. Will this be a problem? I could spend $200 more and fly out from my home town. Thanks for any info.

This happened to my boss at one point...the idea freaks me out, but I still park there most of the time. Other options include taking the RTD park & ride.

My husband parks in the west lot 20-25 weeks out of the year and hasn't had any problems. That's not to say he won't in the future. You'll have to make a decision regarding parking there on your own. Is it worth the cost savings?

Apparently it depends on how old your car is and if the wiring insulation is made of soy.

"Why eat the wires? Although rabbits have a tendency to chew on wires anyway, a 2010 UCD Advocate article notes cars released after 2002 have wires with insulators made out of soy-based compounds that are especially tasty to rabbits and rodents."

Our cars are older and never had a problem.

Some manufacturers used it and some didn't. You can do a search on your car year and manufacturer to see if others have had a problem.

Edited this because it appears to be a larger manufacturer base than I thought.
