I'm a Union Carpenter is Los Angeles and the Union (Southwest Regional Council) extends into Colorado. I'm planning on relocating to the Denver/Boulder area and I'm banking on doing the same kind of work out there.

I'm wondering how the work is, things are really slow over here and I'm interested in how it's looking in Denver. Whether the work is mainly Union or Non Union, how residential work compares to i dustrial, things of that nature. I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

I can't speak to your trade specifically, but building has really picked up here in the last 6-12 months...both commercial and residential, but moreso residential.

That's good to read, especially that article. It mentioned Jeff Whiton being President of a local trade organization so I'll look into that. Does anyone know how strong a presence Union is in the trades?

We have a much smaller union presence than other big cities I have spent time in like Las Vegas and Chicago. I don't think there is near the union history here.
