Hi All!

Thanks for how helpful everyone has been in my other posts.

I am going to be in Denver for 4 days (conference) and think I may just rent a car so I can get around etc., we wanted to go to the zoo and the Wildlife Sanctuary and maybe ride the train in Georgetown...not exactly walkable.

The hotel parking is $34 overnight (Sheraton Downtown). Is there a better way to do that for a Th-Sun? Parking garage? Street Parking? I won't be able to juggle anything from about 8-4:15 each day so maybe the hotel parking garage is the way to go...

Thank You!!!

There are a few car rental places scattered around downtown - small, easy to access, and can rent a car for the one day you need (return in evening), or keep for two days and only need to pay for one night of parking. There's a Budget and Avis at 20th and Broadway, not far from the Sheraton.

The zoo is an easy bus or taxi ride - only three miles from downtown. If you have time it's a good one way walk through some nice walkable neighborhoods and City Park.

For that small of a trip you need to maximize your convenience factor and cough up the dough for parking.

You might be able to find cheaper parking at the Pavilions for $15 a day:

Car2Go is great (I use them often) but their model is for short city trips (A to B quickly) and not long day use -which I believe tops out around $75. And if driving to mountains would probably want something more roomier.

I'd do a rental, or as also suggested suck up the parking price to make the most of your time.
