And looks like it will be for the next 3 weeks. Feels like Texas all over again.

Unlike Texas, though, it cools off quickly after sundown, and stepping into the shade offers real relief. I'll take hot and dry over hot and humid any day of the week. 100 here is, to me, more tolerable than 90 in Dallas.

High 80s in September normal here? Not what I expected.

Upper 70s/low 80s is normal, but high 80s/low 90s are not abnormal.

I detect a high degree of snarkiness.

See to me, I like this. I see it as nice weather to be outside and my favorite time of year. If I was ordering the weather, I'd make it more humid and more thunderstorms, so it'd be green and I'd be less thirsty all the time. We must all be a little different because I don't think I sweat as much as other people and I don't think other people feel as parched as I do most of the time.

Here's some perspective.

Denver
High Today - 96
Current Temp (11pm MDT) - 72
Expected Overnight Low - 62

Dallas
High Today - 90
Current Temp (12am CDT) - 80
Expected Overnight Low - 70

Even when it's hot here it's not oppressively sticky and miserable like the Texas Triangle. We've run our A/C about a half dozen times this year, and it's never been on overnight. If we were still in Dallas it'd be on 24/7 for at least 3 months out of the year.

I'll never again live in a humid climate. Breathing stale, recycled AC air 24/7 for 1/3-1/4 of the year sucks big time.
