Do they not hire people from out of state. My husband and I want to move to Denver but must have jobs. I have tried to set up another interview with them but I am unable to get them to return an my emails. Any suggestions?

I have sent numerous resumes and applied for jobs. What am I doing wrong? My husband and I need to be able to get jobs to move to Denver. We are both serious. We will pay our relocation expenses. We have never been given anything and now at 53 and 56 respectively, we don't epect it to happen now. I just want a job.

LARRJACK,

Great question you brought up. Im in the same situation. Im a pharmacy tech in California looking forward in moving to Denver. What kind of techs are you and your husband? I posted a thread today regarding RxTechs. Maybe you can check it out to help you answer your question. Good Luck!

Default Technical Rep

I am a helpdesk technician. My husband works in the HVAC industry. He is currently making the heating and air duct work for a commercial company.

My husband was able to get a job in the HVAC industry although, he is in the design aspect of it, through a temp agency. He was on a 6 month contract and then direct hired. We moved from MI for this and did have to pay all of our relocation expensed ourselves. Try temp. agency's. Hope this helps.

With a local population of over 3 million, Denver employers seem to only want to employ local candidates. If you are serious, you may want to find a local address and get a prepaid cellphone with a local Denver area number. You will have to be flexible and be available for interviews if needed.

If you run a request on Craigslist, you may be able to find someone who is willing to "share" an address with you.

I've applied for 20 jobs in the past month and no response - and I'm here in Denver! While I'm checking postings online daily, this week I'm focused on building up my Linkedin network and going at it that way.

Thanks for the response. Does this company need any help. My husband can supply references from his current job. He is employed at Meridian Sheet Metal. They make industrial ducts for air conditioning.
