Both have similar looking food, and a similar looking logos. I was wondering if anyone has tried both Tasty Taco's and Rudy's Taco's and is there much difference?

I haven't been to Rudy's, but Tasty Tacos is awful. Abelardo's has the best Mexican food in Des Moines.

Taco Tico in Mason city...easily best taco place in the world. Better than any so-called "authentic" you'd find at other places.

Doesn't seem to be well-known since there aren't many of them.

See..I do like some things about Iowa

But they're based in Kansas.

There was also a Taco Tico in Fort Dodge during the 1990s. I don't know if one still exists there today, but you're right about the tacos. Their sanchos were the absolute best. It's too bad this chain isn't more prevalent throughout Iowa...and the nation.

I'm not sure if this is a serious poll or just a play off funksoulbro's gaffe on Davenport's urban core renewal vs Des Monies. I wonder what percentage of people on this forum have had a chance to try both?

We need a poll on what makes for a better outing:

Tasty Tacos vs. going to the store.

(or are they the same thing? )

^^^^

Another attempt to re-invoke an old argument. Usually, it's Duster, must be some transference going on in the forum.
