Hey! I'm planning to extract the damaged teeth on my lower right side. I'm in my 30's (exact age is 37) and I don't want to live my entire life without two teeth on the lower side. My dentist in Oakville, Dr. Phelan ( Dental Implants | Oakville Dentist, Aesthetic Dentistry Burlington*-*Dr. Stephen Phelan ) asked me to get dental implants after the extraction. I have Type 1 diabetes and because of that, I'm really scared of extraction. It takes time for me to heal. I'm scheduled for the extraction on 8th April. I would like to hear the experience from those who had a similar situation. Thanks for your time!!

Default Dental Implants

I have five dental implants. About four thousand each and lots of root canals. In all I had to pay up front 11 thousand just to begin, in cash. In the end I paid 52 thousand for all my dental work. Unless you have endless money, it is expensive beyond words. Except for one I am happy. Since age twelve having no bottom double teeth I can now eat. Because of no bottom teeth my top teeth wore out. I had to have six veneers. Dental insurance does not cover this kind of dental work. I worked for a major city and dental was not included except cleaning.
I had to have part of my gum removed on a top tooth near a nerve and it hurts day and night.

I am type 2 and I know I have slowed healing in my lower extremities. The rest of my body does not seem to be affected in this way, As for a Type 1, why don't you ask your Doctor/Endo? I have had major dental work including wisdom tooth extractions and did not suffer any complications. I just took antibiotics and practiced good oral hygiene and all was fine.
