I'm looking for opinions on Dream fields low carb pasta? I picked up a box at Kroger last night. I cooked some today and I have no bloating like a regular pasta would do but I am hearing conflicting reports that's it not really "low carb". Anyone using this product ?
I do not use it. There was a lawsuit about it, but if it works for you, go for it, portion control is key. I just use on of the whole grain pastas & measure a small amount out. I am not paying extra for it.
Doesn't matter to me if it's low carb or not. I get it because it has a good amount of fiber at 190 calories. I've eaten it for at least a year with no issue. I eat a cup of pasta regardless of type. I find whole wheat pasta undesirable.

Whole wheat pasta to me is disgusting. I eat pasta quite a bit, always have. I cant imagine going through life without it. That may be the Italian in me.

I agree. And I hate the texture of those "high fiber" pastas. I actually started eating egg noodles instead of pasta and I LOVE them! They have a richer taste and taste great with any type of sauce. Never going back to regular pasta!
Although the Dreamfield claims were bunk, there are some legitimate low-carb noodles out there. Al Dente sells a line pasta products "Carba Nada" that have about 1/3 the net carbs of regular pasta and many people I've served it to cannot tell it from the real thing. Ciao brands sells a pasta made from pea protein called Proto Pasta and it is even lower in carbs. It works well as a substitute for rice (orzo shape) and in dishes like macaroni salad.

Your right , the fiber. I'm eating this regularly now with zero issues . One cup is 10 g fiber and its tastes fine.
