My dog isnt a big dirt roller but he DOES roll himself in bird crap!! I dont know why in the world he does it but it drives me crazy!!! I can usually tell by the big streak on his back...and I've caught him in the act

O, YES, HE WAS BLACK!!!He is not anymore...We need to give him a bath!!!The only black thing on him are his eyes and nose...
Haha! He looks so cute in that picture! It's like he's saying it wasn't him! lol! I can't believe he could get that dirty! He really looks like a blue/ gray dog! Our pups love to roll around in stuff, dig holes, and just get dirty, but they have never ever gotten that dirty! Hef is completely covered! lol! That is too cute! Good luck getting him cleaned up!
All of mine do it, and with the dry summer we had they were all dusty/dirt covered all the time...although each night we rinsed them with the hose and they actually jump and seem to like it. But I have no idea why they do that...must feel good I guess.

Ha, ha, ha.You are right. Do you see his eyes? It's like he has a "eye liner" across his eyes. Who is the "worst" when they get dirty?
O, thank you for asking. Portia had her staples removed today. She is doing great. She is off of her medication, including pain killers. But the vet said that she cannot play - run for 2 months!!!Until everything heals...Hef doesn't like that, he is used to playing with her and with us every day. So, now he cannot play with her, although we play with him of course. That is why he rolls in the dirt I guess?
Wow!!!Really? I've heard some dogs do that. I am wondering why?
