This is a sad story even though it seems both are on the mend. Once they can be together again I'm sure they will help each other heal.

This should be sent to all cat people. Ask them if their cat would do this for them. Dogs rule!

That's a nice story, and I know my dog would do the same (he's fiercely loyal). We had a similar incident around here recently, which didn't end so well - a couple was hit while walking their dog, and only the dog survived.
