How many of you have or had a pet that had a regular name that your veterinarian knew and a different "pet name" that you called your pet? What was the "pet name?" What kind of pet was it? What was it's real name - that the vet knew?

I did.
Kissyface.
A pony.
Pistol Pete

My dog's name is Shiloh, but I call him "Puppy" most of the time (although he's 8 years old). I used to call him "Silly Puddy", which eventually got shortened to "Pud". Well I had no idea until years later that "pud" is considered slang for a male body part. I wondered why I sometimes got strange looks when I called him "Pud" in public.

Kidd the Rottweiler is more commonly known as Moodle. I have no idea why. Or Moo-Man.

Holt the blind Rottweiler is known around here as Ray Charles or Stevie if he's klutzing around...obvious.

I have three dachshunds and none of them are called by their true names:
Riley ~ dude
Toby ~ puppy
Daisy~ Baby

What is so funny is all three come by both names.
