For those who care to read, I finally got smart and took my dog to the vet. I feel soooooo guilty!! The poor thing has very bad cataracts (almost blind), a severe UTI, low thyroid function, high sugar and an infection on her skin...

She immediately started medications for her infections, as well as her thyroid. I am happy to report that almost immediately, she stopped peeing all over my house. She is much happier, and is back to being her affectionate sweet self...

Thanks for all you caring dog people who urged me to take her to the vet!! I thought she was just getting old....

She has a good home. With people or animals, I don't think we should assume a deterioration is related to age, especially a sudden change.
