My dog just had a lump removed from her back leg and the results came back as dermal spindle cell sarcoma. My vet is supposed to contact a vet cancer center tomorrow and get back to us. Anyone have any experience with this type of cancer? I am really worried...
HiMy 16 year old cross, has just had a lump removed from his hip. The vet contacted me this morning and confirmed Low grade spindle cell sarcoma. She said that following the lab test it is unlikely to have spread but may re-occur. Ben seems fine he is running aroung like a puppy, although it didn't seem that he was aware that the bump was there anyway. He had to be fed his food by fork the evening of his op as the vet said he must eat and that's the only way he will eat if he feels off-colour. His appetite is back to normal now!Hope this helps?Suzzy
My Golden had one removed from the top of his head about 3 yrs ago. At that time the vet was pretty sure he had gotten it all, and thankfully he seems he did. It has never grown back.
Wishing you the same results with your guy! Keep us posted.
