So my old forced air ceramic blower type heater gave up the ghost finally after a couple years of being flaky. I never really liked that style anyway so got an area heater to replace it.

Well I fire it up this morning to heat up the office and the dog realized it is pleasantly warm, lol. Now he is sprawled out in front of it, like it was a fireplace, contentedly chewing his bone.

I never much liked the forced air one as it was much too harsh. It was like pointing a jet engine at the problem, lol. This new one rocks though... Amazon.com: DeLonghi HHP1500 Mica Panel Heater, Black: Kitchen & Dining

That's so funny! I think we need pictures! We haven't had the heat on yet this season. It's so hot in here, that we have to open the windows when we are home. And, supposed to get into the 70s by tomorrow, which means it will be sweltering inside!

I'm jealous Mak! It's 30 in Dallas right now with a wind chill. I hate taking the dogs out in this weather!

On a hill in Lemon Grove... it is nice all day and the El Nino rains really heated things up but this morning was chilly. Firing up the heater was more of a "test it out" sort of thing than real need... he was quick to find it though.

Oh how I wish! I grew up in Valencia, Ca and miss the weather a lot, but I don't miss the cost of living there lol And if only my car would make it I would be there in a heart beat so my dogs could play on the beach!

Boh my pittie and my GSP don't move from in front of the baseboard vents when it's this cold! They are blobs of warmth. My GSD doesn't care. When I moved into this 1921 hous, I found out how wonderful baseboard vents are - incredible warmth around your feet and rising up. Love it.

Sad thing is it really isn't cold, just a bit cool. He took a wander around the house but promptly returned and got even closer...

I think it is just the hardwood floors stay pretty chilly (I wear socks ) and he is just a big baby.
