It should be noted that initially this group was accused of trying to spread world communism.

They intentionally take a long time. It gives people the chance to become accustomed to change. Imagine how people would react 15 years ago if TSA started feeling your genitals or rubbing your wifes breast so you could travel on a plane.

Imagine 10 years ago someone said they could fuse spider genes with salmon genes to make a new specie of fish or they could fuse different vegetable genes with animal genes to create a new specie of food ? How about cows and pigs that grow human organs ? Or a Hadron Collider that reproduces the big bang on a smaller scale.

The American public is SLOW and don't have the mental ability to cope with sudden change. People are not very bright and need to be eased into tyranny, corruption and eventually their own doom.

Was there a coherent point in there related to the topic?

Gee, what about cell phones so that any schmo can take video of say...police behaving badly or get out information to the world from places like Lybia?

People complained about the printing press and telescopes too....it's all a great inkblot test when you can look at anything and twist it to meet your needs.
