SEATTLE (Reuters) - A top Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) executive on Friday assured Microsoft and Yahoo Inc (YHOO.O: Quote, Profile, Research) employees that there would not be a massive round of job cuts if it succeeded in its proposal to buy the Web pioneer.

Yes only time will tell and talk is cheap. And when they say no major layoffs that could mean 100 people or 10000 given their size.
