I have a learning disability called Dyscalculia, combined with Ehler's Danlos Syndrome. I have tried:
-College: All the disability groups around me can't help me. They can give me a calculater, notes, extra time, etc. It took me three years to learn basic addition/subtraction, I was given all the above, plus tutoring in HS and still didn't pass, an IEP was the only reason I graduated. I live in TX and if you didn't pass the TAKS you didn't get your diploma. The IEP waved the TAKS math scores.
-Military: Math, plus EDS made it so I coudn't pass the physical requirements.
Help! I have the math skills of a 2nd grader. I can't do 8 X 8 in my head or give back change.
(I love working with animals.)
Didn't you already have a thread like this ,asking what kind of career in no math ? I just read through it seems like you got some good suggestions try them .If not ,try bagging groceries for people .
One thing you need to do is stop trying to pick a career.
Think instead of a weekly paycheck.
Maybe for a while your job will be something like raking lawns...or as someone else pointed out, bagging groceries. A lot will depend on where you live and what jobs are available. Forget choosing a "career."
Sure, no one would want either of them as a "career", but the money earned would help you get by. There is no way of knowing what might come up later.
