I'm very interested in becoming an exchange student, but would prefer going somewhere in the US. I am a Junior in high school and thinking about doing it this summer. I live in a very small town in New York and would like to go somewhere like LA or New York City. Any links or advice you have about any such program would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of anything like this. I think what most kids do that want to taste the city for the summer is take a summer class in an interest area. When my son was going into his Senior year, we seriously looked at programs in Philadelphia and New York. This site may help: Summer Programs - College Confidential I'm intrigued by your idea though and would be interested in hearing if there's a formal domestic exchange program.

This is all I have found so far: Sara's Homestay. Quality Student Housing and Programs. It's for adults and students.
